Sales Account Executive

Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Raw Materials

Global Strategic Connections, LLC (www.gsc-llc.com)  is a fast growing lifescience company that specializes in providing complete solutions for contract manufacturing and product sourcing ranging from raw and intermediate materials, to active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for small and mid-size pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and biotech companies. We import products directly from one of the largest manufacturers for those products in the world. Our product quality, unbeatable pricing and outstanding services makes GSC stay very competitive in the industry.
 
Based on the increased market demand for our Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Raw Materials, we plan to hire 1-2 experienced Sales Account Executive(s) immediately. This position could be located anywhere in the United States.

General Requirements: 

The primary role of the Account Manager is to utilize effective sales, communication, organization and relationship strategies to generate and maintain new business/accounts for the company.

  • Study and familiarize GSC’s core products
  • Develop sales plan and strategy to generate new and repeat business
  • Implement the sales plan and provide weekly update
  • Act as point of contact for customers and provide technical information and project update in a timely manner
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and new products
  • Attend national tradeshows
  • May work remotely
  • Flexible travel schedule – 20% to start up to 50% as territories grow

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree in Biology, Chemistry, Business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of Chemical Sales or Pharmaceutical/Food Raw Material/Intermediate sales experience. Candidates need to provide their sales track record within those areas.
  • Knowledge in FDA & GMP regulations and compliance
  • Expertise in reviewing technical documentation to confirm customer product specification requirements, such as Certificate of Analysis, stability analysis results, impurities, and etc.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and implement new prospecting channels
  • Ability to consistently close new business, especially over long sales cycles
  • Ability to understand a Customer’s gaps/needs. Strong customer care skills
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious, self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Superb organizational and persistency skills
  • Detailed orientated and consistent in tracking and reporting prospecting status
  • Proficient computer skills required – Microsoft Office
